Bryson DeChambeau has become appointment television since the PGA Tour’s return. Every time he steps on the course he’s putting on an absolute show, like when he recently won the Rocket Mortage Classic in Detroit.
Or last month at the Travelers Championship when he hit a 427-yard drive that was aided by a lengthy run down the cart path, ultimately ending with a disappointing bogey.
On Thursday during the first round of the Memorial Tournament at Murifield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio, DeChambeau hit a 423-yard bomb on No. 1 that found the fairway. This time, he didn’t need the cart path and put a much-needed birdie on the card. DeChambeau had just 45 yards to the pin.
