What’s In The Winning Bag Patrick Cantlay 2021 BMW Championship

Were you thinking what we were thinking as Cantlay and DeChambeau were battling it out in the BMW playoff?  This Ryder Cup is going to be epic!
It all kicked off on the 71st hole when Cantlay somehow survived being wet, then drained a massive birdie on 18 to extend and continued into one of THE great PGA Tour playoffs.
First playoff hole, Cantlay produces a one in a hundred chip down a cliff to keep the thing alive. Magic.
The two guys continued to beat each other up with hammer blows yet nobody would fall. Bryson finally buckled off the tee on 18 on the fourth extra hole, and somehow still made par. On the fifth playoff hole it looked done and dusted when Bryson stitched his tee shot.  Then Cantlay hits his ball inside it. Filthy! Pure theatre.
It took six holes, nerves of steel and a red hot putter in the clutch moments but Cantlay finally got it done and Baltimore got one helluva show. Bravo guys!

The 29-year-old was on point with his Titleist 718 AP2 irons hitting 58 greens in regulation, T2 in the field. But his Scotty Cameron Phantom X 5 was the star of the show with an eagle and 31 birdies, (No. 1 in that stat) versus six bogeys in 106 putts total. Cantlay also set a Strokes Gained: Putting all-time PGA Tour record of 14.577, including a 3.787 SGP on Sunday.
