Cameron nearly wasn't the Champ for a while there on the final hole but nobody could begrudge the 26-year-old a deserving win at the 3M Open.
With a two shot lead and only a par needed on the par-5 final hole at TPC Twin Cities, Champ stuck to his “processes” and pulled driver from the bag when only a kick up the fairway would've done the job. What followed was a massive hook into the hack, a hack back, a lay up and the wedge of a lifetime stone dead to tap in for par and the win. Phew!
Who came second? Who always comes second! Louis Oosthuizen yet again in a group with his good mate Charl Schwartzel along with Jhonnattan Vegas and Keith Mitchell.
This week it’s a break for the norm with a Gold Medal up for grabs at the Olympic Golf tournament with Collin Morikawa heading in as favourite.
