Video: Just Me Ranting About The Stupidity Of Shutting Golf In Ireland Down Again

Sorry this turns into a rant but I’ve a couple of things to say about this latest closure of golf for 6 weeks while other sports continue. By “Clifden” I’m referring to the politicians golf society incident, not the town or course which I love and got caught up in all of this ❤️. 

The real reason a perfectly safe game like golf has been closed down, is that after “Golfgate” the perception of the game to the non golfing public got taken back 40 years to an elitist Old Boy sport where golf is played by grunting and guffawing men of importance in suits who love nothing more than to get together after for drinks and cigars while the rest of us serve them.

The bargaining chip for any discussions was lost there and then.

I’m also involved in GAA, you’ve no idea of the lengths we are going to stay safe, and it is. But yet I’m telling you golf is safer.
