Doc's Top 5 Each Way Bets
Keegan Bradley 33/1
The resurgence of Keegan Bradley is well underway and surely the four year drought since his last win will soon be over. Good finishes at the Arnie, The Players and in Texas and strong with Brendan Steele in New Orleans. T5 in the Quicken Loans in 2017 so knows the course.
Sergio Garcia 45/1
THE ball striker who needs a good putting week to contend. T2 in greens hit at The Masters but only T23 on the leaderboard paints the picture. Still a big threat on a short tricky track like this.
Gary Woodland 33/1
T24 in Mexico last week where he was T2 in greens hit, so he is giving himself chances. Top-10's at the Honda, Arnie and in Texas and building again after a poor Masters.
Matt Kuchar 55/1
Interesting to see Kuch out at 55/1 after a T2 in Texas and T3 at Harbour Town in his last two outings. Even moreso given this is a shorter than average Tour track. Maybe the bookies see Kuchar's results are a product of his scrambling and putter than his tee to green game. I still think he's overpriced here.
Max Homa 40/1
Four straight top-20's had Max humming along nicely before a T48 at The Masters and this week represents a chance to get back on top. A past winner of the event (albeit at Quail Hollow), good memories and the boost that brings should not be underestimated.
Long Odds Glory
Francesco Molinari 100/1
No form whatsoever since a T6 at the Am-Ex in January but romped home on this course in the 2018 Quicken Loans National with an awesome display of putting.
