Justin Thomas 9/1 and Viktor Hovland 11/1 lead the betting and it's interesting to see the re-emergence of DJ at 14/1 after his course record equalling 63 on Sunday at Sawgrass.

Doc's 5 Best Each Way Bets

Paul Casey 22/1

No surprise here tipping a two time winner on the course. Got one of the worst breaks I've ever seen in the final round at TPC Sawgrass when in strong contention but ended up a solid third with great stats. With Johnny Long Socks McLaren on “an indefinite mental health break from the game,” and Shannon Wallis most likely back on Jonas Blixt's bag this week, it could mean another new caddie for Casey.  Still a live chance.

Keegan Bradley 60/1

Mistake here by the bookies leaving Bradley at 60/1.  T11 at the Arnie and bang in contention again at The Players before messing up 17 and 18 to slip to solo fifth.  Surprised everyone last year coming solo second having shown nothing in five previous tilts at The Valspar.

Russell Knox 70/1

No top 10 from eight visits to Palm Harbour for Russell Knox sees him out at 70/1 but a T6 at The Players was reward finally for several weeks of excellent fairways and greens stats.  I have a feeling he'll contend again this week where the course setup will play to his strengths.

Louis Oosthuizen 20/1

Good off the tee last week and circled 15 birdies but fell away last Sunday to continue a run of middle order mediocrity.  If anything is going to break that it's coming back to the Copperhead Course where he's the form horse.  Three top-10's from his last four visits here and always seems to contend.

Jason Kokrak 35/1

This tournament brings out the best in him.  Four top-15's from his last six appearances at The Valspar. Struggling to find form at the moment but it's still only six starts since his win in Houston.

Long Odds Glory

Denny McCarthy might be work a squeak at 100/1 this week.
