After a T10 at the Charles Schwab and T8 at The Heritage and eight rounds in the 60’s Poston looked all set to contend last week at River Highlands but such is the unpredictable nature of this game he missed the cut.  However given the huge post lockdown trend of players missing cuts and coming out the following week to earn a big cheque, Poston fits that twisted logic! T11 in the inaugural event last year.

Last years Rookie Of The Year is struggling to find his pre Corona layoff form of four top five finishes including a win at The Honda but has experience of this course from 2019 (T21 finish) and has the tools to prevail in Detroit.

A big jump from middle table mediocrity at the Charles Schwab and Heritage to a T20 at The Travelers for Stuard will be a confidence boost.  Hit 60 greens in regulation at River Highlands, T2 in the field and went a cumulative -4 on the par-3’s which is always a positive sign of iron striking.  T5 here last year.

Found something last week with a Sunday 64 and T11 at The Travelers to break a missed cut run of four events.  Needs to build with a good putting week to contend here. Winner of The Players back in 2017.

Can the honeymoon last one more week for the  23-year-old?  Had no real status on Tour until the Travelers tournament director gave him a sponsor exemption last week and Gordon made the very best of it with a T3 finish. But that’s four top 25’s in the seven PGA Tour starts he has been given this season and in a depleted field this week he has another chance to shine.

Tedd Potter Jr 300/1 either misses the cut or has a top-10.  That’s just the way he rolls!
