Doc's 2020 PGA Championship Top 5 LONG ODDS ONLY Bets
Tyrrell Hatton 50/1
Out at long odds after finishing at the rear of the St Jude field last week but don't let that deter you from an each way flutter on the Englishman. Winner of the Arnie in March, came back after lockdown to record a T3 at Hilton Head and a T4 in Detroit. Third in Strokes Gained on the PGA Tour and a no brainer each way at 50/1.
Adam Scott 66/1
An unknown quantity this week having last been seen missing the cut at the Arnie. BUT we all know Scottie gears his game these days around the Major dates. T8 in Bethpage last year and T3 in Bellerive in 2018 among six top-10's in the PGA Championship. Impressive winner at a tough Riviera in February and don’t be surprised to see Adam Scott just rock up and contend at Harding Park.
Abraham Ancer 66/1
If hitting fairways is key this week, then Abraham Ancer will revel in this test. Four top-15 finishes from five starts post lockdown including a solo second at the RBC Heritage and the Mexican will be confident of improving on his debut T16 at the 2019 PGA.
Shane Lowry 70/1
Was rejoined by regular caddie Bo (after a holiday with his second baby) at the St Jude last week and turned in an excellent T6 finish. If all the reports of a difficult colder windy Harding Park are correct this week you will want the 2019 Open Champion on your team. T8 last year and knows how to get it done.
Chez Reavie 100/1
A grafter of the highest order on the PGA Tour who knows his limitations and makes the most of his strengths. Dropped shots late last week at the St Jude on his way to a T6 finish (paid out each-way for us) but is the type of player who can retain form. You can check Chez's driving stats for the last month but I'll bet my house that through two weeks in Ohio and last week in Memphis nobody on Tour has hit as many fairways as him. T14, T12, T22 in his last three PGA Championships says he's worth a squeak.
