The 120th U.S. Open tees off on Thursday at Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, New York.
The field of 144 players will face a tough, par-70 golf course playing 7,477-yards.
After 36 holes the field will be cut to the low 60 and ties. If there’s a tie after 72 holes, there will be a two-hole aggregate playoff. If after the playoff there is still a tie, players will go hole-by-hole until a winner is determined.
Tiger Woods returns to action alongside Justin Thomas and Collin Morikawa for the first two rounds.
There’s an all-Arizona State group of Phil Mickelson, Jon Rahm and Paul Casey as well as an all-Oklahoma State group of Rickie Fowler, Matthew Wolff and Viktor Hovland. There’s also an all-Canada group of Adam Hadwin, Mackenzie Hughes and Corey Conners.
Defending champ Gary Woodland will playing with Open champion winner Shane Lowry as well as amateur Andy Ogletree.
FedEx Cup champ Dustin Johnson is grouped with Bryson DeChambeau and Tony Finau.
