Video: Banned Black Socks Golfer Ewan Porter Speaks Out

“Visited a premier Sydney golf club today,” Porter wrote on his social media. “Was told I wouldn’t be able to play wearing black socks with black shoes and I needed to buy white club socks. Leaving this open for discussion, but I said out of principle, I’d prefer not to play than bow to archaic rules.” 

Hours after he went public, Porter was informed he is now banned from the golf club.

This is Ewan Porter, the man who got banned from his golf club for wearing BLACK SOCKS and shoes.

How is this possible in 2020? I'm baffled.

Further to the story, he paid a competition fee with a registered handicap and was told he was ineligible for prize money. The golf club responsible has lost a great deal of credibility
