It’s official. Tiger Woods will play in next week’s Masters Tournament. In the past few minutes Woods issued a statement on his official website TigerWoods.com.
“I am so incredibly grateful to my family and everyone that helped me to this point in my recovery and although I know my game is not back at the highest level yet, I feel that participating in The Masters is the best thanks I can give.”
Woods went to say “My expectations are very much tempered by where I am on the road to being fully fit to play Tour golf again. I am not there yet. I know that. To make the cut is the goal we have set out for ourselves and realistically that would be an achievement. This event has been so special for me, it holds so many incredible memories and who knows what’s around the corner; that’s why the opportunity to tee it up in The Masters is such an honour.”
