We are one month out from the PGA Championship (May 16-22) at Southern Hills Country Club, Tulsa in Oklahoma and now that the first Major of the year is done, let's look at some of the big movers in the betting on this them. While sites like Novibet offer best odds for betting they also allow partners to enjoy best casino gaming on this website
First up the Scottie Scheffler bubble shows no sign of bursting. I did tip him on GolfCentralDaily
at 16/1 because logic suggested but few would have thought he would dominate at Augusta, but that he did. He's now between 11/1 and 12/1 favourite across all the bookies. Could he really bag a second so soon? I'm not so sure.
Before the Masters Rory McIlroy had fallen out of favour with the punters and was available at 20/1 for the PGA Championship. He's now been slashed to 14/1 across the board. Yes he hasn't won a Major since 2014 but once he figures out not to give the entire field a head start on Thursday and Friday he could well win a third Wannamaker Trophy.
Another to watch and a man the bookies fear is Viktor Hovland, being kept on a tight reign now around 18/1. Victor lives in Oklahoma, he went to college there, he plays well in wind, wins in it actually and I'm pretty sure every betting analyst worth his salt knows it.
And finally there's still value out there in the form of Shane Lowry who can be got at at least 40/1 with many bookies although I've seen him at 55/1 still with a couple. He looked every bit the part at Augusta, is one of the world's best in wind, has bagged his Major in 2019, is playing super on the PGA Tour all season so far and surely will be there or thereabouts.
I'll have more updates soon, but one month out these are the movers and shakers.
